The Archdiocese of Indianapolis and parishes sponsor sports programs for Catholic youth as one part of a comprehensive ministry to youth in the Church.   The sports programs are often called Catholic Youth Organization or CYO. The sports programs are jointly administered by the parishes and the CYO Office. The CYO sports programs exist in the Archdiocese only to help young people practice and live gospel values through athletic experience. 

St. Christopher has been fielding youth sports teams as a part of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis Catholic Youth Organization for over 50 years. Most overall program information can be found on the Archdiocese website.  

St. Christopher fields teams in these sports each season: 

• Girls Fall Kickball (3rd - 6th)
• Boys Basketball (3rd - 6th)
• Girls Volleyball (4th - 6th)
• Girls Basketball (4th - 6th)
• Coed Soccer (5th & 6th)
• Girls Spring Kickball (3rd - 6th)

In addition, we partner with nearby parishes for these sports when there is enough interest. Reach out to a listed contact for more information!

 Registration

If your child is interested in playing CYO sports, watch for sport Sign Up Events in the bulletin or emails from the school.  Those sessions are how we determine the number of St. Christopher teams submitted to CYO for each sport. Players will also need to register online HERE. Use the parish code 183SCP-IN (all capital letters) for St. Christopher.

*Everyone who comes to call outs will make a team. We do not cut players.

Annual physicals are required.  Only one is needed for all sports each school year.  This CYO form can be taken to your medical provider for them to fill out. Please give a copy to our athletics team.

Fees

For each sport, a nominal fee is collected to cover the costs of equipment, uniforms, and officiating. A portion of the team registration costs are covered by our parish.
