Fundraising

Our largest fundraiser is The St. Christopher School annual Silent and Live Auction Event. The proceeds from this event assists the families of the Catholic Community of St. Christopher to provide a faith-based education for their children. In the past few years, a group of enthusiastic and energetic volunteers called the Third Source Income Group have worked together to achieve a goal set forth by the Council for the Stewardship of Pastoral Activities. The challenge is to raise additional income to offset the increasing tuition expenses facing both the parents and the parish. Our auction is usually a Saturday evening in November.

Another Third Source Income is our Scrip program.  Our parish and school families purchase gift cards for places where they plan to shop, and use those cards instead of cash or credit. Great Lakes Scrip Center sells those gift cards to our school at a discount. We sell them at  full face value and your families redeem the cards for full face value.St. Christopher School keeps the difference as a rebate, earning a percentage of every dollar spent using the scrip gift cards. As an added benefit, many scrip users find that they become smarter shoppers by using the gift cards and planning ahead for every purchase.

Our parent group also offers a monthly Market Day sale.  Market Day is the nation’s largest and original Fundraising Food Cooperative®, we leverage the buying power of millions of customers to offer top quality items at competitive prices. Market Day offers butcher shop quality meats, quick cook entrées and sides, breakfast items, lunch box favorites, appetizers, indulgent desserts and more. Customers appreciate every day prices that are competitive with retail yet offer the added benefit of helping your organization.

Trash bags are sold year round for $10.00 a roll. Other miscellaneous fundraisers are http://www.goodsearch.com, Target's Take Charge of Education, Meijer Community Rewards, Campbell Soup Label and Box Tops for Education and ink and toner cartridge recycling.
